This training invites an image (form, figure or movement) to take a position equal to that of a text — in which both are constructors of a narrative line of argumentation within artistic, design or pedagogical research. Tell Me What You See problematises the evidential quality of research documentation, and observes and listens carefully to the traces of situations, dialogues and materialities of someone’s inquiry. Aiming to embrace experimental, non-textual forms and formats of argumentation, this pedagogical gesture, eventually, aspires to suspend the illusion of objectivity of institutional knowledge production.

The training emerged from the annual workshops within the Master Education in Arts, Piet Zwart Institute, that I co-taught in collaboration with Ingrid Commandeur.
